After The Election Conservatives Will Gain Some Control: Food For Thought (Video)

with 2 comments

By Bill Hurst, Let’s take a look at were we stand in this great nation of ours. All great societies (nations of the world) started as protecting individual freedoms, and free enterprise. The fall of the Roman Empire and the Grecian Empire culminated with the burdensome demands of a socialistic and degenerate society…

Republicans, Democrats

A ‘republican’ (a member of what Americans call the Republican Party) favors a form of government referred to as a republic in which elected officials represent the people in governing the nation. It is the most orderly form of government. ‘Republicanism’ also means ‘self government’. American Republicans also are known as conservatives, are on the political ‘right’ and support  the free-market or capitalist economic platform.

A ‘democrat’ (a member of what Americans call the Democrat party) favors a form of government referred to as a democracy in which every member of the population could potentially be involved in voting on every decision that the government makes. This pure form of democracy works in private meetings and small towns, but otherwise is only theoretically possible, and is chaotic compared to the republican way. The word ‘chaos’ is important because it represents the liberal approach to social structure as opposed to Republicans’ sense of order. Democrats also are known as liberals, leftists or socialists and ally themselves with a welfare-state or government-command economic platform.

But there are so-called elections, mock democracies and phony representative governments even under dictatorships. The only meaningful result of any form of government is liberty, and the freedom to live your life without interference from your own government. The achievement and maintenance of liberty is an ‘active’ endeavor undertaken by virtuous and disciplined people living in an ordered reality. Weak, passive and pacifist people are easily subjected to despotism. And in the history of the United States, the longest-lived example of liberty and prosperity in the history of the world, we see the triumph of a capitalist republican culture that is a model for freedom-lovers everywhere.

America is a constitutional republic, not a democracy.

Republicans and conservative capitalists favor a small government and low taxes to promote individual initiative and self-reliance so that citizens can provide for themselves. People who vote Republican statistically are better educated, more technologically adept, have closer, happier and bigger families, are more ambitious, and are more prosperous than those who vote otherwise. Thus they do not want or need the government to tell them how to live. The Republican party fares best among the self-reliant people in suburban, small-town and rural America on whose intelligence and discipline our nation – and the world economy – has been built.

The core of conservative ideology is individualism, which the competent, disciplined person is capable of caring for himself or herself, and for the lives of their families. The family itself represents individualism because it is the smallest, most natural and strongest unit of society above the lone person. Conservative individualism is a positive trait deeming that people will work to be self-reliant and positive in outlook; will depend on nobody else; and will contribute to the community through those traits, not expecting anything from the community.

Working together with the concept of individualism is the free-market capitalist economic system of risks and rewards, which says that those who take the risks are eligible for the rewards And while a static, theoretical analysis – on which all socialist theory is based – would consider that a risk/reward system would produce an equal number of winners and losers, history has shown that risk/reward capitalist systems produce high levels of economic growth while risk-less socialist/communist always systems shrink and die, and ultimately provide opportunity for none.

Conservative Republicans believe in everything that America’s Founding Fathers desired – free-market capitalism, individual initiative and reward, private property rights, a moral and religious populace, majority rule, and a rejection of the welfare state and wealth redistribution. And the American Revolution originally was fought in order to free us from unreasonable taxation.

Socialism, however, is an urban and academic phenomenon that seeks higher taxation, and favors the idea that people rely not on themselves but on government for the necessities of life. This is part of the contrary socialist mindset: To disagree with the principles of rational individualist capitalism. Every tenet of socialism is diametrically opposed to the wishes of the Founders of our nation.

One of the core premises of socialism is utterly false, that all people have roughly equal abilities and that it is thus the duty of the government to distribute wealth equally and to ‘level out’ the ‘playing field’ of life so that everyone gets their equal opportunity. Socialism actually is a system in which risk is eliminated by government. But socialism historically has created suffering by failing to account for human nature, by forcing people into theoretical economic systems concocted and operated by urban and academic intellectuals, systems that deprive productive people of the fruits of their labors, and of the natural incentive of simple economic reward.

Socialism represents the institutionalization of mediocrity and conformity. It stifles individual creativity in favor of collectivism and consensus thinking, and thus socialist societies never have and never will produce great art, architecture, literature, philosophy, technology etc.

There is no objective truth in socialism, no ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. For socialists, opinion is everything, and this is why their ideology is prevalent on college campuses, where opinion is all, and thus all opinions are considered valid. This is one of most crucial ways in which leftist socialism works to refute a central principle of rational conservatism which says that there is right and wrong, and that universal truths exist.

Socialism forever is proclaiming itself to be mankind’s savior and a friend of ‘the little guy’ but in fact it is capitalism that repeatedly has turned out that way because capitalism is the only system that creates wealth. Even the anti-capitalist United Nations in its 2002 Human Development Report stated that world poverty fell 20% between 1990 and 1999, an era when aggressive globalization (free-trade capitalism) was spreading at a pace unequaled in the entire 20th century. Poverty fell most markedly in India and China where, respectively, radical socialist and outright communist governments had controlled and smothered the economies for decades.

Socialism creates no wealth; it consumes, dissipates and destroys wealth. It is anti-business. It is a system of government control that only redistributes existing wealth. In fact, every time wealth is created, there is a leftist to complain – environmentalists complain about the pollution; college professors complain about the profit you’ve made; union activists complain about the wages paid. In other words, the focus is on the negative.

Since it creates no wealth, the heart of socialism is the appropriation of wealth through taxation, patronage and cronyism. Since their system creates no wealth, socialists are infinitely more obsessed with wealth than capitalists. And since socialism creates no wealth while its mission is to redistribute wealth, socialism is by nature paradoxical. This is why socialism always produces the opposite result of its stated ideals.

It is crucial to remember always that socialists are interested in helping “the poor” or “the environment” only to the extent that the systems they set up first transfer wealth and power to the socialist élite itself and to its unproductive allies (i.e., government bureaucrats, trial lawyers, environmental organizations and activists etc.) who work to keep the élite in power. This all happens while consuming wealth, not producing it.

Since it creates no wealth, the life force in socialism comes from controlling the lives of other people. Therefore political power is everything to the socialist. That is why they devote their lives to building political machines and winning elections by any means possible, because that is the only way that the socialist can feel that he is contributing to society, by influencing that society through legislation, patronage and bureaucracy.

And this is why the economically declining states in the Northern Tier of the United States from Michigan to Maine increasingly are Democrat. As productive people (conservatives, Republicans) leave for greener pastures in the South and West, Democrats stay behind to keep the bureaucratic government jobs that they are made for, to lord over a weaker and poorer population, without challenge.

And since they create nothing, socialists must take control of as many institutions as possible, once the hard work of building those institutions (corporations, the media, the universities, the arts, the nonpartisan judiciary, churches, foundations) has been completed. One example: Atheist, pro-abortion feminist Patricia Ireland was hired in 2003 as CEO of the Young Women’s Christian Association, an organization started during the Civil War and built on years of good deeds by caring Christian women. Ireland formerly was president of the National Organization for Women. (She was fired on October 20, 2003 after her leadership was deemed inappropriate in light of YWCA history.)

This is how socialists work – one person at a time, they insinuate themselves into healthy, conservative institutions that represent discipline and order. Once like-minded people within those institutions reach a numerical tipping point, socialists begin to dictate those institutions’ policies. Even traditional purely democratic institutions like Vermont’s old-fashioned annual town meetings began to be taken over as far back as the late 1960s by leftists who had moved into the state, primarily from New York City. They turned meetings that once focused in true democratic fashion on local issues like road repairs and town budgets into one-sided harangues over nuclear power, US foreign policy, military spending and all the other favored issues.

Individualism is a bad word to liberals. Yet they preach another type of individualism which is the polar opposite of that espoused by conservatives. It is a feminine self-centeredness or an insecure narcissism, where the person considers himself or herself to be the most important entity in the world exclusive of others and of the community at large, and focuses only on how the world can cater to his or her needs, pleasures, emotions, weaknesses and phobias. This creates an uncertain and dependent society that can be catered to by a centralized élite that manifests these same attributes.

What Others Are Saying About Minnick’s Attack Ads & Possible Motives Behind Them (Video)

with one comment

By Bill Hurst, Does Walt Minnick, posing as a conservative, with the front man John Foster, want to “foster” bigotry; or are the attach ads to give Minnick a place to hide his airbrushed version of his past and his Congressional voting record ?

In previous articles I have demonstrated flaws in Minick’s version of his real past and voting history during his tenure in Congress. He has conveniently manipulated the truth about both of these seemingly controversial subjects in his authentic life history and his first term in Congress, representing Idaho’s 1st Congressional District.  This article attempts to reveal a few of his “airbrushed” versions of himself and the more exact account, which is not widely known by both political parties and chiefly by the constituency that he represents; Read Here: Will The Real Walt Minnick Stand Up!(Click Here for Full Story)

Politicalgame:

The Walt Minnick You Don’t Know

In the glossy version, Walt worked in the Nixon White House on drug policy and he did—with a budget that, under his watch, ballooned to over 13 times what it was when he began. But even though he requested and received a letter from the Watergate Special Prosecutor confirming he was never a target of the investigation, multiple sources place Minnick, at least temporarily, in the Special Investigations Unit. Known as the “Plumbers,” this brainchild of Nixon was tasked with preventing leaks of classified information and carrying out covert operations against his political enemies. Led by Minnick’s boss, Egil Krogh, who would eventually plead guilty and spend time in prison, the Plumbers were the nucleus of illegal activity that would ultimately lead to the downfall of the administration.
In the postcard version, Walt “resigned in protest” after the Saturday Night Massacre (when Nixon fired Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox). It’s not clear when Minnick actually decided to resign, let alone whether he “resigned in protest,” but if he was protesting, it wasn’t very loudly. He stuck around for at least three months after that October Saturday of 1973. The truth doesn’t fit as nicely on an airbrushed postcard but to understand Walt Minnick’s grainy past you have to start at the beginning.

Pelosi’s Power Over So Called “Blue Dog” Democrats:Predicts Dems To Retain Control (video)

with one comment

By Bill Hurst, Pelosi plans to control and gain power over the most conservative lawmakers so where will that land the mythical “Blue Dog” Democrats?

The Blue Dogs will vansih into thin air..,

Pelosi’s power trip will leave the “Blue Dogs” with bark and no bite, actually it will leave them whimpering like  whipped puppies. We all know that the so-called blue dogs are a mythical group that is a scheme devised and promoted by the Democrat party; to get their party faithful elected in conservative districts.

So where does Walt Minnick fit in?

Terresa Monroe-Hamilton’s article “Shes The Boss”:

Pelosi came from a family that bears a striking resemblance to organized crime. She will ruthlessly use and discard any one in her way or who will forward her agenda. She rules the House with an iron grip and she is simultaneously feared and hated by most politicians. Those who claim to support and adore her are sycophants that are in the DC game for money, power and prestige. Her minions are made all the more dangerous due to Pelosi’s powerful reach and thuggish policies. No radical agenda is too outrageous if she deems it worthy. Pelosi’s hypocrisy knows no bounds and she feels no shame.

An elitist’s elitist, Pelosi is cunning in the extreme. Her entire political career has been virtually choreographed and painstakingly planned. You won’t hear apologies from her and most likely, you’ll never see the attack coming if you are in her sites

Milton Friedman: Socialism Is Force

Politico Comments:

House Democrats are poised to approve new rules that will significantly increase their authority while taking the bullets out of the few legislative weapons Republicans have in the lower chamber.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has approved the changes from the last Congress, when House GOP members frustrated their Democratic counterparts by winning over two dozen amendment battles on the floor.

Pelosi’s move has set up a divisive mood on the first day of the 111th Congress, which Republicans say runs counter to the tone set by President-elect Obama.

Republican leaders intend to fight the rules changes, which would curtail their ability to delay legislation by forcing Democrats to take politically difficult votes.

“This is not the kind of openness and transparency that President-elect Obama promised,” the GOP leaders wrote Monday in a letter to Pelosi.

Republican leadership aides say the changes will make it easier for the Speaker to run the House and protect vulnerable House Democrats.

CQ Politics states:

Democratic leaders are taking a hard look at preventing the minority party from scoring easy political points with motions to recommit a bill to committee with instructions to make contentious language changes and then report it back to the House “promptly.” In the outgoing Congress, “promptly’’ has meant an indefinite hold, because committees were not willing to adopt poison-pill amendments sponsored by the minority.

Most motions to recommit require instead that an amended bill be returned to the floor “forthwith,” which means within minutes.

GOP aides complain that the possible limit motions to recommit would take away the minority’s ability to attack tax increases in must-pass bills. That’s because the pay-as-you-go budget rule, which is likely to be renewed, does not allow amendments or motions to recommit forthwith that would remove any of the offsets it requires in legislation.

The pay-as-you-go rule requires that all new entitlement spending or new tax cuts be offset with equivalent spending cuts or tax increases elsewhere.

Pelosi will continue to stop term-limits for committee chairmen. This will give the chairman control and domination over the minority party. This maneuver will halt the Republican minority from any influence to “recommit a motion” back to any committee in the House.

The Republicans have asked about transparency that Obama has promised to protect us from the evils of government. While spreading the rhetoric, Obama has let Pelosi work behind the proverbial “Oz Curtain.”  This allows Pelosi’s Congress to have the control over the committee chairman to concoct an array of free-enterprise busting bills behind the cloaked curtain. The new bill will be ceremoniously presented to the House floor and passed without the benefit of thought-provoking debate. This newly passed bill will be moved on down the street with haste and the “transparency” President Obama will put his rubber stamp on the new piece of liberal-socialistic law. This was undoubtedly what the endorsers of Obama’s “hope and change” were expecting.

Pelosi’s confidence of retaining power:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi  was elated with the Tea Party victories in Tuesday September 14th, Republican primaries, saying the results were “very positive” for Democrats.

Pelosi  still in the “Power Trip” mode states “What happened for Democrats last night was very positive,” she continued, “We were very pleased with the candidates that we drew, and they offer a great contrast in the election as to the clarity of the choice.”

Walt Minnick‘s buddy, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said after the conservative wins that the Tea Party’s primary successes point to a deep division in the GOP, as Tea Party candidates have run to the right of establishment Republicans. This brings up the Minnick question again, “Who and What is He?”

Hoyer stated:

The bottom line is they’re a deeply divided party,” Hoyer told reporters, adding that the division “is going to hurt them.

That is a hilarious statement coming on the heals of most Democrats running away from the leadership of that party.

Leno Takes A Stab At Keynesian Economics, posted with vodpod

Keynesian economics ( Keynesian Economics Defined (video) ) has failed the country in thirties during the “Great Depression” and is worsening the current fragile economy, that the country is experiencing at this present time.  This liberal administration, with Minnick’s votes, are either going to keep raising the national debt by borrowing and eventually will have to raise taxes to pay down the debt. Don’t be fooled, this is why the Democrats are bringing back the so-called “Death Tax” or the Estate Tax at the highest rates. This tax is “invisible”  to the average taxpayer. Taxpayers are not  involved with tax on an annual basis however, this tax brings in billions to the U.S. Treasury.  Those tax rates will have consequences even a medium-sized farming operations or a small businesses. This will put a heavy tax burden (which is due, in cash, within 9 months of death) on the owner’s, families and business associates. By Bill Hurst, Can you really trust Walt Minnick, to represent your conservative values, and hopes for a better business climate?

The vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House on the Democrat side, it appeared that Pelosi would lose. She was able to hold the vote open and began calling in her markers to pull her over the top.

It was found that Idaho’s own Walt Minnick was among those who owed favors to Nancy Pelosi. Minnick caved-in like a house of cards and voted for Pelosi during the Democrat caucus and voted for Pelosi in the final against Republican front-runner John Boehner, that vote was 255 Pelosi to 174 Boehner.

Minnick has frequently and intentionally casts votes to deceive  his conservative voting constituency. Those votes are called “throw-away” votes that were not needed at that time to push forward the liberal agenda of Pelosi, Reid, Hoyer, Obama, just to name a few of Minnick’s friends in Washington D.C.  Casting a “nay” vote on the high-profile liberal-socialist legislation, would give vulnerable so-called “Blue dog” Democrats like Minnick a false appearance of being “conservative” for the folks back home.

As I have previously stated, this is simply absurd given that Minnick scored a dismal 44% from the American Conservative Union, despite his much touted opposition to Obama’s big agenda items.  Any congressman from Idaho should score nothing less than 100% conservative.

In summery, how many “markers” does Walt Minnick have floating around out there in the world of liberal politics? How many quid pro quo deals does he have with the Unions, lobbyist, and liberal-socialist groups, Idaho’s stealth liberal hangs out with?  I guess then the main questions Idaho’s 1st Congressional voters have to ask themselves; does Walt Minnick really have my conservative values? Can Walt Minnick effectively represent my hopes and dreams for the future?

What Has Walt Minnick Done, While Posing As A Conservative, NOT Much, But Here Are a Few Things To Consider:

Pelosi organized a fundraiser event for Minnick, used her mansion in San Fransisco as the venue.

By Bill Hurst, Will the gimmick for Minnick and other Democrats work? Or Minnick must have had amnesia the last two years!

Minnick, posing as a conservative, is running this  ridiculous ad right along with other Democrats calling themselves “Independent Conservatives” and not even mentioning the Democrat Party by name. Minnick is straining so hard to pander to conservatives in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District you wonder why he didn’t join in on the Republican primary bid so he could run on both tickets! He won a narrow victory over his Republican opponent narrowly defeating Bill Sali, taking 50.6 percent of the vote to Sali’s 49.4 percent. Minnick carried only seven of the district’s 18 counties during the biggest liberal shift ever in the history of the country.  How can Minnick distance himself from Pelosi when he accepted her invitation to use her home in San Francisco California for a fundraiser venue?Story here

Ralph Smeed A True American Hero!

In Memory Of Our Friend Ralph Smeed….

Smeed, 88, co-founded the Center for the Study of Market Alternatives in Caldwell in the 1970s. He’s spent decades proselytizing about thinkers including 18th-century Scottish economist Adam Smith and 19th-century French economist Frederic Bastiat.

He’s most famous for his electronic readerboard in Caldwell, near his FarmCity Agri-Business Park, which features pungent commentary on current events under the heading, “Making Statism Unpopular.”

In addition to Otter, Smeed played a leading role in the careers of former U.S. Sen. Steve Symms, R-Idaho, and U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth Hage, R-Idaho.

Ralph Smeed Making Statism Unpopular!

I will add my name to the list of people Ralph played a role in shaping their political views and the fight for conservative values and making statism unpopular. I am a fourth generation Caldwellite-Canyon County resident My Grandfather, Father and I have known Ralph collectively for all his life. My father and Ralph worked together on Steve Symms first campaign, running for Idaho’s First Congressional District. During the last several months I was privileged to have several wit-exchanging conservations with Ralph.  A few years ago I started calling him professor Smeed…I know he liked it, but he would reply by saying “Quit calling me names!”-I will miss Ralph “Professor Smeed” in deed!

Raul Labrador Has A Clear & Precise Stance On Immigration (video)

with 2 comments

By Bill Hurst, Misconceptions of some on Raul Labrador’s stance on immigration; this is an attempt to help you get clarification.

Some will say that  Raul Labrador, Congressional candidate for Idaho’s 1st district, because he is Hispanic and that he is an immigration attorney, he does not and will not have a strong stance on immigration and will not want to protect our most southern border. That is as ludicrous of a statement as; Bill Hurst is a Caucasian tax accountant and if he were to go to Washington D.C. as a tax reformer he would not want the U.S. Tax Code simplified. Simply put, this is ridicules thinking, Zig Zigler would call it “stinkinthinkin’”, and he would tell you to stop it!

Labrador is for strengthening  our immigration laws, enforcement and securing our boarders. As Mr. Labrador stated, on the Austin Hill show on KIDO 580am, he is for a “guest worker program” only if the program does not give a path to citizenship. Raul Labrador knows immigration yes, this will put him at a huge advantage with the other law makers, when it comes to immigration reform, which only makes clear sense to have an expert at the forefront of  changes in immigration laws. As it would be logical to have someone who is versed on the complexities of the tax code and the taxation process, to reform tax laws.

Please share this article with friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else that may have a mistaken belief Raul Labrador does not have a stolid stance on immigration.

Raul’s statements on immigration:

News Release from Labrador Campaign:

LABRADOR BACKS OTTER’S DECISION TO SUPPORT ARIZONA’S ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION COURT BATTLE AGAINST THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

I am in complete agreement with Gov. Otter’s decision.  It is a travesty the Obama administration is spending money fighting Arizona in court when it should be spending money fighting illegal immigration” says Raul Labrador

September 4, Boise. Republican congressional candidate Raul Labrador today signaled his support of Idaho Governor Butch Otter and Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden’s decision to file a ‘friend of the court’ brief with the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in support of Arizona’s laws intended to fight illegal immigration in that state. Idaho now joins 10 other states which have also filed briefs in support of Governor Jan Brewer and the Arizona Legislature.

In explaining his decision, Labrador said,

“I am in complete agreement with Gov. Otter and Attorney General Wasden’s decision. We have a growing problem of illegal immigration in this country that Congress and President Obama cannot continue to ignore. The solution to this problem is not filing suit against states that attempt to enforce existing federal laws regarding the identification and arrest of illegal immigrants and the solution is not amnesty.”

“When elected to Congress I will push for enhanced border security through barriers, technology and the deployment of troops. The solution to this problem from the incumbent Democrat, Walt Minnick is amnesty. The people of Idaho deserve leadership on this issue in Washington and when elected to Congress I will be a part of the solution and not part of the problem.”

Labrador concluded,

“It is a travesty the Obama administration is spending money fighting Arizona in court when it should be spending money to fight illegal immigration. It is just another example of how out of touch the president and the Democrat Congress are with the American people.”

Raul Labrador in his own words from his official web-page:

The Arizona law has forced the illegal immigration problem onto center stage.

First – let’s talk about the building national crisis. The Arizona state government took decisive action to protect its state and people from an onslaught of violence. It is also facing a crisis because its social service systems and institutions are being overwhelmed by the presence of some 500,000 illegal immigrants.

Of course Arizona had to act. Now we see demonstrations and cries of ‘racism’ and calls for boycotts against the state of Arizona. That is wrong.

The anger and criticism is misplaced. It should be directed at the federal government – which has played games with this major problem instead of finding solutions.

Labrador Is A True Conservative-Minnick Won’t Even Say He’s A Democrat!

leave a comment »

By Bill Hurst, Simply put, there is no such thing as a conservative or a “Blue Dog” Democrat, it is a myth.

Minnick, while posing as a conservative, with his buddies from Idaho’s mostly liberal press corps have done such a great  job of representing Minnick as a “conservative maverick” in the Democrat Party, one may wonder why the heck he is a Democrat. This is simply absurd given that Minnick scored a dismal 44% from the American Conservative Union, despite his much touted opposition to Obama’s big agenda items.  Any congressman from Idaho should score nothing less than 100% conservative.

Minnick paints himself as this; I will do what Idahoans want, type of guy, it is very obvious that is not the case as I have pointed out in many articles on this blog site. Minnick has a hidden agenda, which is to support the liberal mantra of the Democrat Party, if he is elected to a second term. Even though Minnick will never mention his party affiliation, we need to remind every one in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District, every day that he is a Pelosi puppy. The “Blue Dog” myth is going to vanish for those Democrats that tout this banner. Simply put, there is no such thing as a conservative Democrat in the 21st century. Minnick associates with the liberal crowd.

Idaho's Liberal Congressman Minnick, Posing As A Conservative

An important fallacy about these “conservative” Democrats that the spot-light needs to shine on, is that each one of them voted for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. These so-called “Blue Dog” the most or “fictitious” conservative Democrats handed control of the committees to extremists like Henry Waxman, John Conyers, and Barney Frank.  By single handily granting Pelosi a governing majority, the Blue Dog Coalition grants the Democrats full control of the Rules Committee, which completely manipulates the legislative process for the leadership.  This effectively assures the passage of any legislation that is supported by Pelosi and her liberal buddies.  This is exactly how we got ObamaCare.

Let’s do a little comparison:

Raul Labrador will be a major player in immigration reform because of his background and experience with immigration laws. He is not for immigration amnesty

Minnick is for amnesty for aliens that are in the U.S. illegally.

Labrador will be part of the “new conservative” make-up of Congress this next term.

Minnick will support the liberal agenda that is continuing with Pelosi, Reid, and Obama.

Labrador understands economics and the principles of supply & demand, supply side theory.

Minnick knows how to spend taxpayer money and how to artificially stimulate the economy. He is also in favor of Price Controls.

Labrador wants strong national defense.

Minnick is for cutting the militaries budgets.

Labrador will vote for business friendly bills.

Minnick voted for the “The Financial Stability Act”.

Labrador leads the efforts to repeal ObamaCare.

Minnick dos not want to repeal ObamaCare.

Minnick Doesn’t Want To Repeal ObamaCare:Wants To Restructure (Video)

with one comment

By Bill Hurst: Labrador sponsors Idaho’s efforts to repeal ObamaCare. It is easy when you hear it from Minnick’s own mouth while, posing as a conservative, and his liberal stance on National Health Care.

As Kevin Miller would say “Minnick is a Gimmick!”

Minnick, didn’t vote for ObamaCare but he doesn’t want to  stop the enactment of the Federal Heath Care Law. When ask by IdahoReporter.com what his response to  Idaho’s Health Care Freedom Act Minnick replied:

It will be quite unlikely it (The Health Care Freedom Act) will be successful.

Minnick doesn’t like the current structure of ObamaCare the following video of his interview with IdahoReporter.com will put it in his own words:

We should try to sort out over the next several Congresses the good from the bad and make this the bill that we should have passed in the first place.

Fact: All government health care plans are “Socialized Medical Care.” One thing is for sure…Idaho’s  liberal candidate has not given any thought to basic economic principles. When Minnick talks about cost controls… he means Price Controls on medical services and what providers can charge.

Solution: Idahoans should not send Minnick back to Washington D.C.

Ah, the “it’s impossible” argument. Democrats who voted against Obamacare, who are nervous about going against Nancy Pelosi, are employing this line to explain their refusal to sign Rep. Steve King’s Discharge Petition #11 to force a full repeal vote.

And that’s all it is—a line.

Members of Congress sign on to legislation all the time where there is substantial legislation uncertainty. In the 111th Congress, Walt Minnick has now sponsored 27 pieces of legislation by himself and co-sponsored 289 other bills with other members of Congress. A good number of them have absolutely no chance of passing with the current political makeup of Congress. Most strikingly, Walt signed onto four different Constitutional amendments ranging from desecrating the flag to calling for constitutional conventions for limited objectives. Now he must support these amendments, but they’re not exactly going anywhere this year. Right or wrong, a critic of these amendments could easily argue that “it’s impossible” to enact all of these amendments in the near future. But that didn’t stop Walt from joining their cause. Why?

Walt wanted to sign those amendments, and he just doesn’t really want to sign on to repealing Obamacare. It’s that simple.
